Job Description:
P2 Machine Operator: Thermoplastic Injection Molding Machines

Sat, Sun & one weekday. 7pm-7am.
Summary/Objective
-
The P2 Operator operates automatic thermoplastic injection molding machines to produce plastic molded housing, and similar plastic parts to engineering and customer specifications. While operating multiple machines, the operator must give attention to detail with an emphasis on quality products.
P2 Machine Operator Job Description

Responsible for reading and following work instructions
-
Maintaining QIR (Quality Inspection Report)
-
Adhere to deviations and Quality Alerts
-
Assembly of molded components
-
Maintain event log and circle sheet
-
Knowledgeable about injection molding machine and able to identify the following: injection unit, clamp, mold, hopper, grinder, dryer, blender, and conveyor.

Setting up scale to weigh different parts
-
Follow safety guidelines
-
General housekeeping and maintaining 5S work environment
-
Identification of defective parts: non-fill, flash, broken tooling, gas burn, ejector pin marks, contamination, splay, voids, mismatched tooling, drag marks, and day codes, etc.
Education, Training, and Experience
-
High School Diploma or GED required
-
6 months work experience required
-
Ability to multi-task production duties
-
Embrace lean manufacturing strategies(5S+1, quick changeover, standard work, etc.).

US citizen or permanent legal resident required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
